
The Endless Grind: An Archive Photo Exhibit of Raleigh’s Skate History
Thanks to the help of the North Carolina State Archive Office and the News and Observer, we have thousands of photos and film documenting the history of skating in Raleigh. In partnership with the City of Raleigh Museum and as part of Downtown Raleigh Alliance’s First Friday events for May, we’re hosting a one-night preview (May 2, 5-9pm) of selects from the Archive’s collection, ahead of a larger exhibit planned for 2027.

Leadership Raleigh Presents: The 2025 Wheel—A-Thon
The Wheel-A-Thon brings together skating enthusiasts and community members for an afternoon of fun, food, and fundraising. Teams will take on the challenge of skating continuously for four hours to raise money for improved skating opportunities throughout Raleigh. Check us out on April 12th!

“Skate the Break” with Raleigh Parks
Join the fun at Marsh Creek Skatepark on March 29th from 11AM-3PM, or catch the crew at Conlon Family Skatepark on April 4th from 1-5PM. Both events feature food and drinks, DJ music, loaner equipment for those without their own gear, and information about the skateparks — all at no cost! All skill levels are welcome.

Volunteer Spring Cleaning on April 6
On April 6th, help us restore and spruce up our skate space so everyone can enjoy safer skating, biking, and scooting. We'll be removing trash, clearing debris, and making minor repairs to ensure our skatepark remains a welcoming place for skaters of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a regular at the park or just want to support your local community, all help is appreciated.

Love Hurts: CRD 2025 Season Opener
See the Carolina Roller Derby’s home teams go head to head in our 2025 Season Opener on February 7. Game starts at 3pm, doors open at 2:30pm. We will have snacks, hot drinks, and local art vendors!

Open House for Tarboro Road Park Updates on January 21
Here's our chance to put skating on the map!
The city's dropping $29.3 million on a major upgrade for the park and they're hosting an open house to hear what we want. Roll through the Tarboro Road Community Center on Tuesday, Jan 21, between 5-7 PM to check out their plans and tell them your thoughts.

Come to the Conlon Family Skatepark on Saturday, December 7th to see the Carolina Roller Derby home teams go head to head in a WINTER WIPEOUT extravaganza.

The Block Party Bout with the Carolina Roller Derby
Experience the thrill of roller derby as Carolina Roller Derby teams up with Skate Raleigh for a free exhibition game at Conlon Family Skatepark on US-401 in Raleigh. The action kicks off at 3:30 PM, featuring not just competitive roller derby but also local art vendors and an open skate session following the game around 5:00 PM.
